The Automotive Expo Committee has held an Extraordinary meeting to discuss the potential risks for participants and potential impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on the event.
Teams of buyers and suppliers from more than 150 companies have already confirmed their presence in the event and other companies register daily. About 600 invitations for meetings were sent and more than 300 meetings are already confirmed by participants and planned on the online platform.
However, after careful consideration of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, the Committee agreed that we should postpone the event for the next 2 months. The health of all participants in the event, buyers, suppliers, employees and collaborators is a top priority for us. Automotive Expo & B2B Meetings 2020 has therefore been postponed to 28.05.2020.
As an organization, we have a responsibility for the wellbeing of all participants, as well as for the organizers and collaborators. The Committee felt that the potential risks of infection, coupled with the potential imposition of travel restrictions or quarantine, were too high to continue with planned program for the event at this point in time.
I just read that the fair is being postponed, what’s going to happen now?
First of all, everyone involved will be informed, your usual contacts will be available to answer any questions you may have and will be happy to assist you in postponing your participation in the fair. Basically, AUTOMOTIVE EXPO & B2B MEETINGS 2020 will be postponed to 28.05.2020 as currently planned. Hall occupancy, assured stands, sponsorship opportunities and the supporting program will take place as far as possible as planned, but on 28.05.2020.
What safety precautions will be taken at the next events?
We are in constant contact with the relevant health authorities. Whether, and if so, which security precautions are necessary for the trade show in 28.05.2020, will be decided at the appropriate time together with the health authorities. At present, we are assuming that it will be possible to hold the trade fair on 28.05.2020 without any restrictions.
For Suppliers (Exhibitors)
Will my contract for AUTOMOTIVE EXPO continue for the new date?
In accordance with clause 11 of the Terms and Conditions of Participation AUTOMOTIVE EXPO & B2B MEETINGS 2020, which you accepted whilst registering online, the existing contract with you will remain in effect for the new event period.
Will existing contracts and booked services remain valid?
Yes, all already booked services and contracts remain valid for the time being when you attend the new event date. During this period, until the event takes place on 28.05.2020, all online services will remain available (Online Registration, Meetings Planner, Invite to Event, My Program, etc) and we recommend you to use your online account in order to better plan your participation in the event. Also, other companies will register in the next days for the event, please verify each 2-3 days which companies have registered and send invitations for meetings to those who are interesting for your company.
Will the price of the stand space or services change for the new date?
As things stand today, the price of the stand space or services you have already booked on https://automotiveexpo.industrialin.com will not change.
